Alfa Romeo Giulietta (2010 - 2020)
Multiair 170 veloce (petrol)
Reliable, Fast , Smooth , Refined.
Owned it for nearly 3 years and done 18k in it.
Been a good car so far , had 2 silly little electrical faults that I fixed myself quite easily without the need for any parts.
This car really does prove that you can have performance and economy. Probably the best one to get due to a light engine not heavy like the diesel or top of the range ones have ,gives much better handling, tried the diesel and it was too nose heavy. Has a good stiff chassis and beat all the competition in the Euro NCAP crash tests in 2010. Shame the steering is a bit numb and the heater fan not powerful enough. Easy and affordable for the home mechanic to service. Its a little bit sensible for an Alfa and is more of grand tourer , but it will be a hot hatch and play if you be a bit rough with it and shake it up. Suspension and ride are good too , stiff without being harsh. The car takes some getting used to, even to an experienced Alfa owner but as time goes by the more it grows on you.
