So, after doing some research into the custs of keeping my car and running it, compared to the costs of getting a company car, the difference is quite small, and for the simplicity of someone else taking care of everything for me, I think I'm going to get the company car.
So, I was hoping for some advice from all you lovely people! I need to get something that is enjoyable to drive, but also comfortable over long distances. I would love a 3 series, but due to my band, its out of the question unless I buy it myself.
So, the cars I'm contemplating are:
BMW 120d SE
Audi A3 Diesel Sportback 2.0 TDI 170 S Line 5dr
Mini Cooper S Hatchback 1.6 3dr (Chilli Pack)
Seat Leon Diesel Hatchback 2.0 16v TDI FR 5dr
Does anyone have any advice on these? Pros? Cons? Tips about some of the additional features? Are there any others you would recommend looking at?
Another thing that confuses me is this - what is the difference between the 120d ES, SE, and M Sport? Does the M Sport come kitted out with leather seats etc?

I have the A3 as above, but in SE form and a DSG box. Review here:

Now covered 3,500 miles.

Dizz, I've got a 120d Sport (M Sport wasnt an option at the Time).
ES = Basic Spec/Wheels etc, SE = Better Spec, trim, more kit etc, M sport comes with Body kit, wheels, sports suspension and some more kit than ES.
I highly recommend that you test the different the wheel/suspension combinations as it makes a huge difference, although I believe the facelifted models are better allround with the Runflats.
If affordability is an issue I'd agree with HJ, however if driving pleasure is more important go for the 120d (Ps if you can stretch to the 123d this should be stunning).
My Co car is up for renewal and I would have another 1 in a second, unfortunately I'm moving and need to use the money elsewhere :-(
