Do the brake lights show under regenerative braking?

My wife's car has s strong regenerative braking mode. When slowing down at a junction or whatever do the brake lights get illuminated?

Yes - the heavier regen modes will illuminate the brake lights. It's why you can usually spot EVs with brake lights flickering on and off on the motorway.
