Hi
I was looking for an almost new car for my wife and have seen a one year old Peugeot 307. On close inspection (first noticed on the glass front and rear there is white 'bloom' that covers it. If you then feel the paint surfaces on the panels they feel rough. Also the rubber window seals are hard and rough due to possible overspray when stored. Dealer advised that it has been stored in the body shop causing this minor problem ( his words)
The car seemed tbe selling for a good price and has had no accidents but my question is can the overspray be removed also will the life of the rubber seals be compromised.
Any experience with this sort of problem?
Thanks

I think I'd be very wary!
"Has has no Accidents"! How do you know? Did the dealer tell you?!!!
There's no shortage of good used cars for sale. I personally would look elsewhere.

I would get a HPI check done and if that came up clean, still pay for an independent inspection.

I once had to have some spraying done on my car. I found no overspray on the window rubber, but did find a slightly rough finish to the front of the roof! This is still there six years later. I haven't tried t-cut, but you'd need a fair bit.
To get the hard feeling of the rubber you would need quite a lot of overspray.
I think that that car has had some work done on it.
No concientious dealer would allow overspray to ruin a car he intends to sell!!
Keep clear.

Would I buy a one year old car from a bunch who cannot be bothered to remove overspray?
What else could they not be bothered with?
