Best car for a bigger man

I'm 6ft 4, could you recommend a good car with plenty of drivers leg room for around £4000. I've been told that a Citoenn C5 or a Peugeot 406 has plenty of leg room.

In the past I've had a Rover 75 which had plenty of room for me, but the engine head gasket blew (common fault so I'm told) so that put me off them. I've since found out that the diesel model has a BMW engine so if the head gasket fault is only on petrol models then that might be an option?
