  • pronunciation of Renault 8 Aug 2005 (Forum)
When I was young, in the 1970's, a lot of people used to say "ren-alt". These days, it seems just about everyone says "ren-o". When did the change come about? Does anyone still say "ren-alt"? And if not, when did you last hear someone using the Olde English pronunciation?

  • A66 - That was *too* close 7 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Or, what can happen when a 1930's style trunk road (complete with the marvellous "road house" pubs) is sandwiched (no pun intended) between a motorway and a major dual carriageway http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/06/04/ucoach.xml&sSheet=/portal/2004/06/04/ixportaltop.html
  • Best time to buy/sell? 3 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Probably asked a million times before, but indulge me please! When is the best time of year to be a buyer/seller of a used car? Im not talking convertables, 4x4's or ecotics etc as prices for these depend on the season/weather, just your average family car. TIA for any replies.

My 306's remote locking key's batteries have lasted just 3 months. I seem to remember someone here saying that poor contacts in the key cause the batteries to run down. One: are there any fixes for this? Two: does anyone know of a source of cheap batteries (they are lithium)?
