  • 7 Seater MPV Owner experiences 28 Apr 2009 (Forum)
I am looking to buy either a Honda Shuttle or a Ford Galaxy with a budget of £2k. Would appreciate if owners of the above MPV can shed any light on the pros and cons of these two cars. I am going more in the favour of the reliability of the Honda but wary of the fuel consumption ie 2.3 Auto engine
  • Width Restrictions 30 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Drove down the M6 this morning, through the roadworks around Jn 5. The width restriction on the outside lane is 6ft 6inches. Just checked the Ford Website and the current Mondeo is 6' 10" wide overall - when are we going to see some enforcement of the width limit ? ? ? ? How many of you know
  • James Bond's Ka 4 Oct 2008 (Forum)
I am not really a fan of small cars but have always liked Ford's Ka. Everyone I know that has owned one has been very happy with their purchase. The only small car that I think is 'funkier' is the new Fiat 500. At last though the Ka is getting the recognition it deserves and is starring in the new
  • Anyone work within the motor trade? (sales) 4 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Ive been working in the motor trade selling Fords for around 3 years now. Im desperatly trying to get out of the trade as margins have been cut and its now quite hard to make a living out of selling cars, not to mention the long hours. Any back roomers out there in the trade? what are you views
  • "..politically correct extras like ESP..." 1 Dec 2007 (Forum)
HJ's Ford Focus III pre-test includes the above quote. Last week I was side-swiped on a 90kph curve on a Spanish motorway, and hit three times. I was sent spinning down the road. I would like to think it was my driving skill that enabled me to bring it to a halt on the hard shoulder, but I'm sure
  • Cashing in road tax before selling? 30 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Hi, This weekend we're picking up a used car and trading in our Ford Ka. We've agreed a total price for the deal but that doesn't include any RFL or fuel, the guy even told me 'we're not a petrol station' :) On that basis I'm inclined to say that I'm not a post office and that I'll cash

  • 1.25 fiesta spark plug gap. 17 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Hi there, I am about to change the spark plugs on my 1.25 zetec fiesta. The Haynes book is saying that the gap should be 1.0mm, but this is for a champion plug, i have original fit motorcraft plugs from a ford dealer, does anyone know the correct gap for these plugs, they are AYFS 22C. I think

Starts next Tuesday. Feature in Radio Times including obligatory, correctly coloured Marina, but, deary deary me, page 13, some copy writer who doesn't know his (or her) arm from his elbow has described a Ford Corsair as a Vauxhall! Mind you, it's in an interesting (non standard?) 2 tone paint job

  • Blue Oval 1 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Anyone know just when Ford started using the oval-with-handwritten-script logo? I mean when they started using it on badges, steering wheel centres and hubcaps on their UK models. I'm sure my dad's Consul back in the fifties had some sort of logo with five-pointed stars on it and I don't recall

I recently fitted genuine Ford replacement wiper blades front and rear to my 03/03 Focus. They're superior to the previous Bosch Super Plus in all respects and only cost a mere 17p more for the set of three than Halfords' price for Bosch. Also they incorporate a wear indicator, although how

Hello good folk, Don't know if anyone can help. I have a Mondeo estate MK2. The central locking works on everything but the tailgate. In the mark one this was always the case but they got round this by providing an opening lever by the driver's door - not so in the MK2. Have Ford

I believe my clutch is slipping (change gear, lift clutch, revs hang, not a lot happens), and I was thinking about replacing it. I drive a 1.6 Focus 51-reg.
