  • LDV 400 Engine Question 23 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Folks, Later versions of this basic and lovable van used Ford powerplants. However, earlier ones (to 1996?) used Peugeot. Does anyone know of which type (2.5 is surely too big for the XUD), and what the main vices and failings were? Thanks rg
  • How much profits are made in auto trade? 14 Jul 2007 (Forum)
If a car costs £100 retail (just assume), how much is usually manufacturing cost, manfuactuer's profit, dealer's profit etc? Well, it would differ a lot between Lamborgini and Ford but just inquisitive for an overall picture. Thanx
  • Plusgas 21 Nov 2006 (Forum)
After the Ford Ka spark plug debacle (the whole sorry tale is in "Technical"), I really should get around to getting some Plusgas. It has occurred to me though that I have never seen it for sale anywhere on the High Street. Where do you get it from? Cheers DP

  • Germans still the best? 10 Feb 2006 (Forum)
Hi I have noticed recently that fords have been highly recommended in recent years and popularity seems to be higher than many traditional "executive" cars and that the traditional prestige car such as Mercs and BMs have not done too well in opinions, is this true? Thanks Schoolboy.

  • VIN checker now costs 23 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Re autobaza.pl It would appear that this service now costs. A response like this: MODEL TAURUS, CORTINA, SIERRA, MONDEO, COUGAR is not a lot of use. Oh well it was good while it lasted for free. The Ford site does still expand from a nunber plate.

  • Smeary windscreen wipers 19 Mar 2002 (Forum)
Why might two sets of new wiper blades smear the screen on my wife's Focus ? Anything to do with the Ford "Quick-clear" screen with de-frost elements ? By the end of one wipe, the smear appears to evaporate, only to be replaced by another. Any ideas ?
