The Ford Focus cabriolet coupe...

What are they thinking? That boot looks horrid, it wouldn't take them long to think of some styling for that metre of sheet steel!
I won't even mention the colour!

Actually
I like it.

Looks like they've used the same pencil as the one used to draw recent BMW's, especialy the 6 series conv
I quite like it too (not the colour though), but I prefer the VW Eos. Both are better than the Peugeot attempt, but like all these new tin top convertibles they look better with the roof down!
Looks ok to me though not my kind of car, muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the awful 307 cab and perhaps better looking from the rear than the Megane as well IMO.
Looking at it again it really does look quite classy, I would put money on (though not with you lot!) it selling like hot cakes.
Cheddar beat me to it, it's much nicer than the 307. It looks alright to me, bit of a big bum perhaps.
Ssanyong Rodius is the ugliest car at present, Fiat Doblo a close second.
Actually, I think compared to the renault and pug offerings I think that's quite a nice looking car.
That's not to say I think it's a good looking car though, I am an Alfa driver after all ;)
It's OK, but WHY this modern trend for what can politely be described as J-Lo posteriors on cars? Tigra, 307, Mégane, now Focus....
It's a limitation of getting a 2 part folding metal/glass roof into the boot I think. Is it the new Astra CC that has a 3 part roof to try an alleviate this problem?
I wouldn't have one but it's a massive improvement on the "normal" Focus.
I can think of at least 20 uglier cars.
I'm with TVM - it's OK - compare with the Escort conv, for example!
Turning it around, I still think the BMW E30 conv is the amongst the prettiest - cabrio.4mg.com/marsh.jpg
It's a bit boxy for my liking. And I don't like a pastel blue at all.
I generally dont think cabrios work, they are always a compromise over the donor car in respect of stiffness, weight, space etc. If I were to have an open car it would be a car that was designed as such, an Elise, SL etc. Though from the rear that Focus looks as good as any.
I was looking forward to something amusingly hideous and am disappointed by this bland modern convertible. I imagine much of the rear box is taken up with expensive, heavy, soon-to-fail roof and roof mechanism.
I don't like the boot.
The rest (from what I can see) looks OK.

Only a bit of it is boot. The rest is full of why that car, when we see it, will cost £N more than a lighter, safer, stiffer, less pretentious saloon.
FWIW I saw the new Astra CC about 6 months ago, and a very attractive, well-rendered design it is too. None of the 307 blobby botty.
Well, looking at it again, maybe in a different colour it would look OK. I still wouldn't buy it with that boot! Escort cab. was much better, especially in purple :-)
Also, by the looks of things they haven't made a right hand drive version yet!
