  nicely with plenty of power and very quiet considering it's a diesel, however as it's the first ford diesel i've owned i'm unsure if the noises i hear on this car are a problem are as they should be!! When at low revs (idle) and slowly pulling away or manouvering, the engine sounds very clattery

  accelerate theres a big sound of a fan kicking in or big suck of air that never happened before either and it only happens when the car is moving not at a stand still it only happens on acceleration. Any ideas? Much appreciated before i take it to a garage Ford want to charge £75 p/h to check
