Friend of mine has started selling fuel efficiency magnets which are placed around the fuel pipe and supposedly improve fuel consumption and possibly performance. Have any BRers tried or run with these fitted? And if so what were the results? I'm sceptical as to the claims but can see some logic -

Last week, whilst driving up the M5 my 02 Focus's engine stopped. I learnt later that the fuel system had failed, with all subsequent consequences.
