Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 00 1.9 Intermittent battery light illumination 29 Jan 2009 (Forum)
. The battery light only appears in the first mile of a journey (so when the engine's cold) and only ever TWICE........the lights oscillate whatever the engine temperature. The alternator was replaced 2 years ago, and one of the leads from the alternator to the battery was professionally repaired 18 months -
Vauxhall Astra G Petrol (1998 - 2004) - 00 1.6 Sparks from my ignition coil 31 Dec 2008 (Forum)
that it was doing this rather than moving down to the ht leads then spark plugs. A quick spray of WD40 in that area and that solved the problem, until it rained again. Please help? Anthony -
FIAT Punto (1994 - 1999) - 96 1.2 Starting Problems( 3 Oct 2008 (Forum)
of weeks in it was needing more turning over to start. This problem grew and grew until it will not start at all. I have changed the plugs, checked for any loose or damaged HT leads, dampness etc. My battery is good and I even cleaned the face of the crank sensor. A lot of people keep telling me -
Volkswagen - Extended Warranty 6 Sep 2008 (Forum)
the passenget seat - dealer told us it was our fault, but fixed under warranty as "goodwill") We did originaly plan to change it at 3 years, but given the fact its been trouble free to date think we will hold on to it (plus would like to see what the new Sharan is like next year). This leads to a couple -
Daewoo Lanos (1997 - 2002 ) - 1999 1.6 - Intermittant random engine fault 5 Sep 2008 (Forum)
smooth as. I have checked plugs, leads, injectors, fuel filter. the timing is spot on as I have double checked that too. The problem is with the car doing this only randomly I can not get other mechanics to see what it is doing wrong. Every time it does it I'm on my own. Then once I call someone else -
Audi - Audi's Anti corrosion warranty - experience of? 7 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Gave my A4 a good clean and wax yesterday as it hasnt been done for a while. I was a little concerned to find rust taking hold in the front wings. It is starting to corrode on the leading edge of the wheel arch infront of the wheel. It is like this on both sides. At the moment it is only just -
How come "sporty" tyres cost more ? 4 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Its time to think about new tyres for my Focus. When new I could only get the car with the optional 17" wheels instead of the standard 16". ( As an aside the 17" wheels have a machined rim. This means the lacquer thins where the edges meet the cast finish. This leads to premature corrosion. IMHO -
Audi A6 + RS6 (1997 - 2004) - N reg Avant 2.0 petrol - Occasional misfire 26 Mar 2008 (Forum)
it normally totally dissappears. When I first got it, 10,000 miles ago I replaced the rotor arm, dis cap and plugs but the leads look fine. The fact that it can run clean makes me think it is a sender or of course the ECU. As it is not dire and not changing in its occurance I am reluctant to replace everthing -

KIA Pride (1991 - 2000) - '94, 1324cc. Stereo fitting 13 Feb 2008 (Forum)
doubt if I could find a suitable lead I could 'plug and go' with, unless anyone knows otherwise? -
Vauxhall Corsa C (2000 - 2006) - 01 1.0 petrol won't start after break down 18 Jan 2008 (Forum)
came out the back, the engine warning light came on, and it stopped. It now turns over but won't start. I've booked it into a garage on Monday, but do these symptoms lead to any obvious conclusions (that me being mechanically minded can't see)? I'm just fretting about whether it might cost my son -
Vauxhall Omega (1994 - 2003) - Yr 2000 MV6 wiring diagrams 23 Aug 2007 (Forum)
in but just in case its not that when fitted i want to know where the wires that lead off it go to increase 1 is damaged and needs fixing. the vauxhall dealers are too expensive and think that they know everything where i live. its an x traffic car so I'm wondering ,that when they took the bits they remove -
KIA Pride (1991 - 2000) - slow clock 10 Aug 2007 (Forum)
also noticed the fuel level gauge reads substantially lower for the first few minutes of each journey, again leading me to suspect low voltage. I keep meaning to put a voltmeter across the battery, but it's one of those things I need to do after the car hasn't been used for a few days, just before I go -
Vectra-C Dashboard Access 23 May 2007 (Forum)
via the foot-well, but the moulded panels seem to go right back around the hand-brake and rear vents etc so that looks like a lot of effort that may not lead me to the control box anyway. Thanks -
Unreliable cars - why? 16 Mar 2007 (Forum)
that many of these faults will ultimately be fixed under warranty and the sort of grief experienced by owners will often lead them to desert that marque why do the makers persist in using parts which are patently unsuitable, badly designed or just not durable enough - I'm thinking about the sort -
Police Highways M-Way stop areas 9 Mar 2007 (Forum)
for a short distance leading up to the entry/ exit point. In all my time driving I can only recall seeing one non authorised car in one of these areas- and that appeared to have broken down. I have not heard of any safety issues relating to them, and rarely see them being used, so does any one know -
xsara hdi unrefined 15 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Hi there recently got a xsara 2.0 hdi 90 and basically i feel that its a little unrefined, the throttle sometimes feels like an on/off switch which can lead to a bit of an all or nothing jerky progression, i know that the throttle is electrically wired to the ecu and not a cable that goes straight -
VW Lupo 1.4 misfire 8 Jan 2007 (Forum)
missing on a cylinder. It has only been driven a couple of miles like that. I have put new leads on the car, and have also tried changing the coil pack with one that was known to be ok (from our other 1.0 Lupo - same coil pack on both engines), but the problem persists. I've not yet checked the plugs -
Passat 1.9TD earth fault ? 14 Dec 2006 (Forum)
somewhere ? Battery OK, have removed and cleaned battery leads and all obvious earth connections around engine bay. (electric sunroof and interior light also inoperative- though fuses OK) Have read on this forum that later Passats had a junction box under passenger seat that could play up -
Audi Paintwork 15 Aug 2006 (Forum)
work undertaken?). Therefore, the car would not be covered by Audi's 12 year Anti Corrosion Warranty. Am I within my rights to give the car back and ask for a refund? I paid top money for the car as the car looked mint and was from a leading independant. Or should I be taking this up with Audi UK?
