can any1 give me or tell me where i can get any wiring diagrams for my 2000 mv6
my abs/tc light is on and the speedo don't work, also I've been told that the headlight motor is controlled by this unit too as there isn't an adjuster inside the car is this true but i have another unit that can be put in but just in case its not that when fitted i want to know where the wires that lead off it go to increase 1 is damaged and needs fixing.
the vauxhall dealers are too expensive and think that they know everything where i live.
its an x traffic car so I'm wondering ,that when they took the bits they remove out they might have cut something by mistake?

Speedo works off the ABS sensor (can't remember if LHS or RHS one), as does the Traction Control. As all 3 aren't working, it's a very strong probability one of the front wheel sensors has failed.

From memory I think it runs off the o/s/r abs sensor mounted on the diff. I have had two in for ABS faults after accidents where the rear sensors were plugged in to the irespective sides & that stopped speedo & brought ABS & TC lights on. The headlamp level system is also controlled by a sensor on the rear suspension via a plastic link & the n/s/f suspension mounted on the platform arm & these often break.
You say your dealer is too expensive but a good tech will go straight to the cause & without the correct diagnostic gear & guessing you pay a fortune in guessing, I have seen it so many times.
A good independant with autodata can do you a wiring diagram, but expect to pay as these programs don't come for free!
Have you checked all the fuses & has it been jump started or used for jump starting & this can cause ABS problems. Some vehicles fitted with over voltage protection relay & these normally blow when jump started

the rear sensors ....
Oops. Yes, sorry, getting confused with front wheel drive vehicles.

The MID info display on the dash should be giving some cryptic text warning if the levelling for the HID lamps has broken, assuming this is still fitted / functional on an ex police job.
|
The levelling had to be present for HID lamps, it's a legal requirement - police cars still have to comply with C&U regulations.
|
Yeah, sorry for ambiguous sentence, I was thinking about the MID rather than the levelling system itself. Apropos of nothing , but there's an ex police MV6 where I work which is the only Omega estate I've ever seen without roof bars.
