1999 1.6 - Intermittant random engine fault - daewoo
My Lanos has some strange symptoms to me so I am looking for someone that could shed some light on the situation for me please.
Every now and then, when I go to start the car it will start running as though the timing is out.
But once turned off then given some time, when I start it again it runs smooth as.
I have checked plugs, leads, injectors, fuel filter. the timing is spot on as I have double checked that too.
The problem is with the car doing this only randomly I can not get other mechanics to see what it is doing wrong. Every time it does it I'm on my own. Then once I call someone else it runs perfectly fine.

Would be greatful for help thanks.

{subject header made less vague than 'please help'}

replace the engine management coolant temperature sensor, that tells the ecu if the engine is cold, if its damaged then the ecu will apply the choke which causes the car to idle wrong, use more fuel, the car may also judder when on light throttle??? its located under the inlet manifold. you can get at it from underneath without removing anything else they cost about £16.
