non-fault accident - classic car policy 25 Jan 2006 (Forum)
I was recently (Friday) hit from the rear in my 1982 Citroen Dyane. I was sat in a traffic jam, driver behind was tending to her child in the rear seat and hit the o/s/r corner of my car. Upshot of this is that the car is probably an insurance write-off. I have notified my insurance company -

New Car ? Replacement Interval? 26 Oct 2005 (Forum)
rebuilds of engine, transmission and suspension were routine after only 30-50,000 miles. What?s the optimum time to keep a new car now? Rustproofing and mechanical component life has improved out of all recognition. Even cars from volume producers will go 150,000 miles with nothing more than servicing -
'Excessive' brake pedal travel (Polo) 22 Sep 2005 (Forum)
that, the brakes would always lock. Now, the pedal travels about 1.5 inches (or at least that?s what it seems like) before the brakes work properly, retaining the same feels as they did before, just lower down to the floor. You can press them as hard as you like and the pedal is still well away from the floor -
