Peugeot 406 indicating left by itself 30 Oct 2006 (Forum)
a weak battery could cause these electrical maladies. It is the original (almost 6 years old) and the car does a lot of short journies. Any ideas gratefully received. I'll be visiting my trusted independent next week. -

Picasso alternatives? 14 Jun 2006 (Forum)

bangernomics vehicle of choice 4 Jul 2005 (Forum)
this bangernomics stuff isn't complete rubbish. (Although I only do about 3K miles a year so maybe it's not much of a challenge) Therefore I was wondering about an old Audi 80 or VW passat as they seem a useful size and can be picked up for just over a grand in reasonable condition. Prices (in general) don't -
Time to trade for a Rover? 1 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Hi guys, I'm just thinking aloud really, but I was wondering what you guys think of the MG ZR/Rover 25 cars. With their values now seriously hit, I was thinking about trading in the 1.6 Focus for a 1.4/diesel one of the same 51/02 year and releasing some £££...do you reckon they'd be significantly -

Time to sell the MINI? 27 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Hi all, (and especially HJ!) Been toying with the idea of selling the MINI for the past couple of weeks - they seem to be everywhere now and with them coming up to 3 years old they'll start to become more common (and thus cheaper) used outside the dealer network as the warranty -
cleaning window guides 14 Mar 2004 (Forum)
My electric windows are not working very smoothly and judder over the last fraction of the range prior to shutting. The newly acquired S/H car has been valeted prior to collection and I suspect some of the sticky cleaner stuff that some dealers insist on using is the cause. I think -
Lumpy, rusting Micra 22 Feb 2004 (Forum)
acceptable that a modern car is so poorly finished off, with many exposed seams which are just painted and already showing signs of rust bubbles. Or is it just me as I've heard no mention of this elsewhere? Secondly, it is jerky in traffic in first and second gear, being hard to drive slowly -
Advice on bodywork & MOT 10 Feb 2004 (Forum)
My wife's 13 year old Corolla is due its MOT this month and is suffering from a rusty off-side wing. At last years test, the inspector merely commented on the accompanying MOT checklist sheet, but the intervening 12 months has - not surprisingly - seen the corrosion worsen. We now have a long -
