Asking for a friend (really).. She will be retiring soon and wants to buy a small used car for about £8k.  Possibilities include Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris 1.3 or Yaris Hybrid. Would it be better to go for the hybrid?  I have heard they are more reliable that the IC

  • Clio 11 diesel 2001 - Engine won't start when interior is hot. 3 Jun 2017 (Forum)
. Then after a few minutes the engine will start. All the relays are far as I know are under bonnet so I can't attribute the cause to an over heated relay. Googling the problem it seems that Hondas used to have this affliction. It's a mystery, what could it be?

  • Ford etc - Car dealers gone overnight 25 Sep 2016 (Forum)
Car Dealers in Basingstoke owned by City Motorholdings have gone overnight or so it feels. From what I can see Peugeot, Skoda, Seat, Ford, Honda and Suzuki just closed. There are more but it's such a mess no one seems to be sure who is left. Loads of jobs gone, local paper quotes trading
  • Any - HJ advice regarding heater blower / resistors 11 Jan 2016 (Forum)
ZAFIRA TYPE FIRE. Now i understand where this is coming from but this is a classic case of resistors burnt out. Have had this myself on a Honda Civic and replaced the broken resistor pack with no problems. Also if the fan is running ok on high speed it is obviously working

Hello all, I'm looking to buy my first car in the next couple of months, budget is around £4K max. I''ve been looking at Toyota Aygo, Honda Jazz, Kia Picanto and what seems like dozens of other identi-kit cars. I much prefer the Aygo so far. Anyway, are these cars all
  • Toyota Yaris - buying small car in twickenham 28 Aug 2013 (Forum)
My sister in law needs a new car since her Ford Ka has rusted away and did not pass MOT. Given that she wants as little maintenance as possible and has a budget of only £2000, I recommended a Japanese car such as a Yaris, Honda Jazz, Mitsubishi Colt Daihatsue Sirion, or a Kia Picanto

Hi there, i'm after views of fellow VW Polo 2005-2009 owners. I have recently bought this model and have been searching around for a service manual or a repair guide. I had this on my old Honda Civic and proved very useful to gain knowledge on the layout of the car aswell as when i needed to do
  • Should i buy a factory spec dual fuel/LPG car? 8 May 2010 (Forum)
If so what is available and how the heck can one search for models available? I know of a man locally running a factory spec dual fuel Vauxhall, plus a retrofit Honda, both of which he is very pleased with. I would otherwise be a diesel "nut" but with all the newly developed

  • What is a "mainstream" manufacturer? 29 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Hyundai and Kia apparently aren't, despite selling in similar numbers. By the same token, some people don't seem to consider Honda or Toyota as being mainstream either, despite selling more cars than Nissan that is. Confused! So are Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo, Proton, Skoda, Seat, Chrysler

My 406 is fitted with this (2.0L petrol, low emissions) engine but it hasn't run properly all this year. The dealer says there's a problem with the unit that advances the valve timing (apparently it has VVT just like the Honda's). They change the unit but within a few wks it plays up again
