  • 1998 Fiat Ducato running hot 8 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Hi, I run a Ducato van 2.8D non turbo year 1998 with 105K on the clock. I've had the vehicle for 7 years and bought it with 55K on the clock. It's now starting to run hot. If I drive at a steady 55mph the gauge stays well down. If I stick my foot down and do say 70mph, the temperature creeps up

  • Run Flat Tyres 27 Feb 2007 (Forum)
As mentioned in my PCP thread, the BMW 320 I'm looking at has got run flat tyres. I mentioned that I thought the tyres were low on air as the steering was very vague and the car quite 'skittish'. It seemed to 'tramline' a lot as well. Subsequently found out about the run flats. If this is normal

  • Mazda 6 2008 - Diesel Run-away - Air intake cut off 26 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Hi Everyone, have not been on here for a while! I was just wondering that if a car, such as the Mazda 6 diesel 2008 2.0tdi was to run-away on its own fuel, by turning off the ignition - would it cause the run-away to stop? My main reason for asking specifically about this car
  • Rover 200 (1995 - 1999) - 97 1.6 How was it running at all? 20 Jun 2008 (Forum)
I've just replaced the Dizzy cap on a colleagues 216 16v as it was running like a bag of spanners. When I took the cap off, the carbon brush literally crumbled into dust & the main coil lead snapped clean off at the cap end (it had gone a mouldy green colour). I replaced the coil lead

Car runs as if the choke was staying on too long. If you don't keep the car running when started, if it cuts out then the spark plugs need changed. Parts already changed: temprature sensor, lambda sensor, cat & EGR valve.

I know the Petrol/Diesel debate is ongoing but I see and hear conflicting advice which is best for short runs. As per the title, if the choice was between, say, a Jazz CVT and perhaps a Berlingo/Partner Escapade 1.6Hdi, what would you say? More concerned about maintenance issues rather than
