99 1.6 8V runs as if choke is staying on too long - honestjack
Car runs as if the choke was staying on too long. If you don't keep the car running when started, if it cuts out then the spark plugs need changed.

Parts already changed: temprature sensor, lambda sensor, cat & EGR valve.

99 1.6 8V runs as if choke is staying on too long - Andrew Moorey (Tune-Up)
There's two temperature sensors on the engine. The one controlling fuelling is in the inlet manifold where #2&3 branch and is a two wire device, the sender for the gauge is the single wire device on the top hose union.
I assume that once there is a bit of heat in the engine everything is ok? If the engine takes forever or never gets to 90 deg on the gauge the thermostat may be faulty.
