Rover 'knocking' noise 22 May 2003 (Forum)
I haven't driven my car for a while (Rover 220sdi) and after jacking up the car and checking the front brakes, following a post yesterday, I took it for a spin. As soon as I pulled away there was a loud knocking noise coming from the rear of the car - this lasted a while but has now dissapeared -

Anyone know what causes front discs to rust? Just had to change my Peugeot 205 XLD front discs after an MOT failure due to rust. They were only two years old and I have done 15,000 miles on them. Perhaps I don't use the car enough or brake hard enough? Thanks. -

Shock absorber replacement 16 May 2002 (Forum)
My MK2 Golf GTI has failed MOT due to failure of near side front shock absorber (as well as near side rear brake caliper). Are shock absorbers best replaced in pairs, or would one be OK ? Oh, and the exhaust is knackered as well so it's gonna be pricey. Matthew Kelly No, not that one. -

Can any one advise me how to access the rear of the nearside light cluster to change a brake light bulb on the 5 door New Punto?. I can find one release nut at the top, but not one lower down. (On the offside I can find two nuts) Thanks John -
