Selling safely 24 Mar 2008 (Forum)
it. They will only get delivery of the car on receipt of cleared funds. I will ask their bank to confirm that payment will be honoured (something the Scottish banking system permits but the English one doesn?t.) That commits the bank to the transaction. I haven?t had the car HPI checked and it?s possible -
Volvo S70/V70 (1996 - 2000) - 98 V70 T5 erratic idle and stall fault a mystery 10 Mar 2008 (Forum)
I really need some advice or help here. The car is an S-Reg Volvo V70 T5 and when the engine is switched on it idles at between 2,000 rpm and 3,500 rpm. It is consistently revving up and down between the rpm I just mentioned. When I put my foot on the accelerator so as to drive it, it just -
Clean sheet car designs. 27 Feb 2008 (Forum)
The other day I was thinking about cars that were totally new designs that carried over no significant components from previous models. A few I can think of are the Rover P6 2000 of 1963, the Hillman Imp from around the same time and the Citroen GS of the early 70's. Another obvious one is the VW -

Volvo S60 (2000 - 2009) - Value Question 6 Feb 2008 (Forum)
the kind of big loads I can get into a V70 or BMW 5 series Touring. Our company buys our cars outright so no leasing deals to consider, just the value of my car set against the cost of a new one. It is a 2005 / 05 plate Volvo S60 S D5. No extras other than the metalic Magic Blue paint. 81,000 miles -
Insuring second car for under 21 driver 10 Jan 2008 (Forum)
car. His only option seems to be insure the car as his own (second car) then cancel the insurance when the car is delivered....which seems rather stupid (from insurace company point of view) and not sure if insurance companies will let him do this anyway without a penalty. Any suggestions? thanks S -

Volvo S40/V40 (1996 - 2004) - 1.9D Cambelt 6 Jan 2008 (Forum)
Hi, My wife?s car has just suffered a cam belt failure, which the local-ish Volvo dealer has said has caused major damage. What's worrying me is that the car only has 61K miles on the clock, has always been maintained by Volvo dealer, has belt changed at 50K service, per Volvo recommendation -

Now then guys, its been a while. Back in july i treated myself to a 2004 Audi A3 TDI Sport for my 70 mile commute to and from work everday... Mileage is now just over 50k and before it gets stupidly high i want a change... Leading to my next choice, a facelifted version of the A4 2.0 TDI S-Line -
MINI - Say I want a MINI, but..... 14 Nov 2007 (Forum)
I was a passenger in the MINI Cooper S (Mk 1 - 2006 version) this weekend. I have read all the problems and complaints about the car, but you can't deny that it is a fancy vehicle with lots of style. I also found that despite being low, it was easy to get into and out of - something which I think -
How much power do you want and why? 26 Oct 2007 (Forum)
What power are you happy with and why? For me, I`m happy with little, contrasted with todays cars. Why? Well my first `car`was an 850cc Mini van back in the 60`s. You were really aware of hills and Shap fell on the M6 used to really take the speed off. I can remember years of climbing the M62 -

Just followed a new XK whilst driving home from work and was shocked to see it?s radio aerial. Some kind of telescopic job, like on my £5 kitchen radio Rest of the way home I kept a look out, TT, SLK, AF Spider all have neat ?bee sting? type ones on the rump. To be honest, I had noticed -

car security 19 Sep 2007 (Forum)
rain. It took half an hour's worth of thought and a few false starts but finally worked out how to gain access without breaking a window or cutting holes. So, anyone who wants to know how to get into a '90's Previa in less than 20 seconds just send some used tenners in a plain brown envelope -
Build quality- japan versus the rest 16 Sep 2007 (Forum)
As some of you know i`ve recently bought a nissan maxima. The build quality is excellent, The doors close with a satisfying "thunk" like its a real piece of metal. There`s not a patch of rust on it and everything works as it should. Its 12 years old and has done over 100k. Before this i had a 10 -
