  my fob will not operate the central locking and when i open the door with the key this sets the alarm system off the car will start and run the but alarm still goes off intermiittently i have tried changing the battery in the fob and the fob lights up when pressed it will not operate as a remote

  Rear wiper washer fluid pipe came apart at pillar (boot) then wiper stopped working.After fixing washer and drying out wiring and multiplugs wiper started to run erratically.Problem seems to be in boot lock "switching".Switch on Latch ,lower back panel,(brown+blue wiring) appears Ok

  When cruising car runs fine but if you lightly ease off the power car starts juddering. To stop this you take your foot off completly or push down hard. In the second option you get some black smoke out back then car takes off. Anyone any ideas.

  1998 vectra 2.0L auto over the last few weeks i have noticed my mpg is getting worse... ive just have a service and cam belt change. what could be the problem ? it runs fine but i have noticed what could be wet petrol or oil on the exhaust around the outside of the exit pipe.

  my golf runs fine, and starts no problem, however when i drive it up to a junction or a roundabout and deppress the clutch the engine revs down strate passed the idel revs and cuts out. some times it drops to about 400rpm then starts coughing and splutering before finaly cutting out.

  Having a real nightmare. I have just replaced the crank speed sensor, which in itself was an ordeal and in the process of running the car warm the core plug/s have gone. Does anyone know if I can replace with the head off only, or is it an engine out job. Any help appreciated. Tony

  Hi had a moment of madness and put 0.94 litres (0.21 gallons) of petrol into my diesel. Then filled up with just under 47 litres of diesel, so under 2% petrol. Car is running ok and will top up with diesel in another 50 miles time. Hope everthing will be ok.

  My Avensis will stall on idle frequently through the day, but once I start driving this seems to stop. Toyota has cleaned the EGV valve but makes no difference, otherwise it runs perfect. Mechanic says its a common problem because of UK fuel. I only use SHell diesel. Anybody got any answers

  At slow speed and more or less stopped steering wheel pulses from side to side. Wheel alignment etc seems OK. Perhaps this is a power steering problem? Any ideas or experience with this problem. Car is a 95 XSI with 170000km. Otherwise runs fine.
