  Hi, bought my 96 2.0 Omega CD, needed a big cheap run around. Please can someone tell me, on the indicator stalk there are 3 small buttons marked l, R and O... what do they do..? Seem unable to locate an owners manual so if anyone can point me in the right direction, most appreciated. Huge thanks

  My beloved 1989 Golf GTi 16 has developed a sharp whine that increases through the rev range. I have checked the 'fan' belt and the pulley for the alternator. With no belt in place the noise continues and that rules out the water pump. The cam belt was replaced recently and the car was running well

  Friends 2000 1.8LX Focus had an emissions test this weekend. At idle: HC=OK, CO=OK BUT Lambda = 1.15 The Lambda figure stayed the same at all revs up to 4000. HC and CO still within limits at all speeds. Car runs and drives okay. What is the backroom opinion - new lambda sensor required maybe?

  Corsa 1.4L 1996 87K Hi all, I noticed the temp. gauge not working. I earthed the lead off to the body with ignition on & the gauge moved to hot. Today I replaced the temp. sender & put a new contact on the end of lead. Took it for a good 20min run tonight but it still doesn't show any temp. Am I

  Has the fad for fitting bull bars to new vehicles almost run its course? My impression is that I see fewer vehicles with them fitted. Still too many on older vehicles! The oddest sight was bull bars on a Smart car. Are cheese graters on side lights no longer thought to be trendy? I hope so

  Hi I'm considering, (for the second year running!) swapping the gearbox in my car from a 4-speed to a 5-speed unit, as the noise on motorways is starting to annoy! My question is, what things need swapping apart from the gearbox? i.e. gearbox linkage, driveshafts, mounts. Thanks for any input

  I am miffed that the tyres on my S3 Audi Quattro are almost at the limit of legal tread depth after just 9000 miles from new in fourteen months. The rear end is worse than the front. Running on 225/45 R17 91Y Bridgestone Potenza RE 040. Definitely not happy to replace with these. Any suggestions
