A car to fit 3 child seats in a row? 18 May 2012 (Forum)
right now, if we have a 4th child in the future it would be in about 4/5 years time and I would get a van style 7 seater. So I need an in between car for the next few years that will accomodate a high backed booster seat for my 4 year old, a toddler seat for my 18 month old -
New car - old car? £7,000 down the drain? 29 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Almost a dilemma with the 2002 1.9D Punto - then a few rough calculations. It`s done 60,000 miles as a home care car and does (the previously mentioned) 50 or so cold stop starts a day. It does around 53mpg doing this and a petrol car borrowed for the day did 29mpg. Now it has faults -
Focus - new exhaust blowing 24 May 2007 (Forum)
My car is a Ford Focus, although this problem could occur with any car I guess... I got the (original) exhaust replaced recently on my 1999 1.8i Focus Zetec (flex pipe, centre silencer and back box) but the new one appears to be blowing and is as loud as the old one was getting, if not worse -

Hi, I have about 6-8k to spend on a used car, maybe up to 3 years old and 50k miles. I currently have a Peugeot 306 which is now very old and needs a financially-nonviable repair, but is still excellent on twisty roads with good handling and steering feedback. I need something fairly practical -

Our Yaris is now 7.5 years old, covered 45,000 miles doing school run, commutes, local trips etc, rarely sees the motorway. It came with a 5 year warranty, but then became eligible for the new system whereby a new 12 month warranty is provided at every service up to ten years old -

Front coil springs snapped - Fast fit centre? 1 Jul 2009 (Forum)
jacked the car up myself this afternoon and had a good look at the front springs, if it wasn't for the trip to the moon (well 117 miles away) I would leave them till they got worse but if a spring napped at 70mph it could be fatal so I am not risking . I have checked the front shock absorbers -

A neighbour is selling a '95 318SE manual. I haven't looked at it closely but it's described as mint with fsh and just 2 owners including my neighbour - who I've only ever known to say hello to but is retired and seems pretty respectable. The car certainly appears to be very very clean inside -

was going to say book by it's cover, not very 'motoring' though is it. Further to recent conversations, just explaining my way of thinking really, and something that set it off. On discussing whether old or young drivers are the worst, my train of thought was how awful it is to generalise -
