wait a couple of minutes in a que of about 50m. This hasn't changed much over the 4 years I've been doing this run. Now in the last few days I've seen a huge change at this junction, and this morning (arriving at my normal time) was in a que about a mile long to get to the lights. Whilst sitting -

Economy/MAF Sensor - 1.9 TDI Seat Toledo 25 Sep 2006 (Forum)
of the housing, and I assume the MAF is the little sensor near there. No warning lights and performance still seems OK. I'm still running it on 'holiday' pressures in the tyres (4 passengers and luggage) yet the trip computer still reads 45mpg average. It would be over 50 most of the time. Only other thing I -
Jogger vs Car :( 4 May 2006 (Forum)
So, at the weekend I went on one of my regular runs. Left the house and ran up the pavement with the road on my left. Good line of sight to an approaching bend. A Mercedes CLK soft top (roof up) overtakes me and pulls over to 'my side' of the road. Driver gets out and leaves door open, and stands -

My wife has a T reg (1999) 1.6 eight valve Astra estate which we have had since it was six months old. Its only done 26,000 miles but we ensure it gets a good run once a week or so to avoid too many short journey problems. We've had the cambelt changed, do six month oil changes and it has a basic -
Mk 3 Astra - Engine Cuts Out When Idling 20 Jan 2005 (Forum)
leaving it for this short time does the trick and it starts and runs fine for a while. Seems to make no difference whether the engine is hot or cold. And I never have any problems when on a run etc. The strangest thing is, this can happen several times in one day and then it might not happen again -
Defective tyre? Worth pushing? 22 Apr 2004 (Forum)

The people who repaired/replaced the tyre commented that they would not have put the sidewall problem down to run -

My E Reg 1300 Golf, which apart from being underpowered, has always run really well. When I fired it up yesterday it sounded like it was running on three cylinders only. As it sits outside all night I assumed that it was damp. I sat reving it for five minutes and it seemed to clear as it got warm -

For the average punter, running a second hand motor, say 10,000 miles per year, over 3 years, which would be the cheaper to run, say a 2 or 2.2 litre turbo diesel or a 1.8 petrol{similar performance}. I am currently thinking of changing one of my cars. I cannot decide if I should buy a diesel
