  Morning all, can anyone help? The heater control  in my 98 fiesta keeps mucking about , you put it about half way but the heat just gets hotter. So you turn it down but it stays hot. Is the control unit electrical? or run off cables? Any help much appreciated..

  my wifes polo has got 60000 on the clock well serviced all ok untill this morning,she put the wipers on and it was like she had a flat battery.they intermittently got across the windscreen,the engine was running and eveything else was ok,the washer worked fine any ideas,many thanks

  car running lumpy and jerking more at slow speeds.......egr valve fitted and drives really  smooth now....just like a new motor   2001 Y. This problem showed on the faults when plugged in...all fault codes now erased

  Mrs has got a 1.4 54 plate fusion she filled it up tonight and the engine warning light has come on and stayed on? its all running fine oil ok and water any one any ideas i`ve not got a clue ????? cheers

  i have a galaxy 1.9tdi on a 1998  reg when i start the car from cold it misfires and chucks out loads of smoke as soon as the car  has warmed it runs fine  no loss of power etc  i have changed the glow plugs  maf sensor   and it is still the same

  can not fing haines manual anywhere, does anyone know how to clean or change valve please was running fine yesterday come to go out today and lack of power rac says egr valve needs cleaning  need urgent help please

  I don't usually watch accident videos but I watched this one. What struck me is that most of the accidents were clearly caused by excessive speed. I suppose if you're going to run a red light on a busy urban route, you might as well do it at 60 mph!

  I managed to put 2 litres of petrol into the tank of my diesel Jag before realising. After some hesitation, I then put 40 litres of diesel in. it seems to be running OK. Should I get the tank drained and flushed out or will I get away with it?

  my 1.6 vectra runs fine untill it hit 90 in temp then it loses power in the throttle and the gears . ive tryed cleaning the throttle body and the erg valve and replaced the plugs but still no joy . what new part do i need

  The Robin thread and my recent purchase of the Maxi just got me wondering if anyone else owns a "practical classic"... ie pre 1980 and not some fancy thing like an e type, just an ordinary run-of-the mill family car form the 50s/60s or 70s?

  Always thought the ventilation on the Focus is poor, so I tend to run with the driver's side window open an inch or two. What would fitting a clip-on wind deflector do - cut noise and draughts? If they are any good, any recommendations as to which make and where to buy from? Thanks.

  Just replaced the head gasket on a 94 astra 1.6 eco tech the car runs fine but is burning a lot of oil and therefore smoking a lot out of the exhaust. Any suggestions on whats going on? Cheers

  Sorry if this a dumb question, but if I copy the entire contents of my C drive to a freestanding external hard drive, then I attach that drive to another computer, will I be able to run the all the programs and data that I ran on my 'donor' computer?
