Multi vee belts - bmw 320d 14 May 2006 (Forum)
My 320d is approaching the 100k mark fairly soon and has had the coolant and brake fluid changed and it just struck me that the fan belt might be getting tired by now. I was wondering what life expectancy would you get from these? -
Pug 306 and ZX parts common ??? 8 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Anyone know if the front suspension struts of a Pug 306 TD are interchangeable with a Citroen ZX TD. Have seen people saying the Citroen and Pugs are the same with the suspension, brakes, engine and transmission etc. Having problems finding a ZX in Dismantelers, but can find Pugs. -
One Careful Owner!! 26 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Went to a Mazda Event on the weekend at Knockhill. Had a laugh driving RX-8s around the circuit and driving challenges in MX-5s. Biggest topic of conversation was the unlucky people who were going to end up with all those thrashed (clutch/brakes/tyres) 'Mazda demonstation model' cars. -

MOT for trailers 4 Sep 2004 (Forum)
(This spurred by somebody suggesting that I might like to tow a particular trailer.) Why on earth is there no MOT for trailers? Large numbers are driven around (not by members of the BR) on ancient tyres with flattened edges, and rusted up brakes. What is there to suggest that it is appropriate -

Polo/Passat rear pads 28 Feb 2003 (Forum)
I know that a special tool is required to screw in and retract the pistons on the rear disc brakes of some VW Polo's/ Passat's etc. I'd be grateful if someone could tell me whether this tool (which costs about £50) is strictly necessary or is there a DIY method of screwing the pistons in? -

New Mondeo Alloys 15 Jan 2002 (Forum)
I am certain this will have been discussed elsewhere, reference other cars but I need to ask anyway. When I wash my car it appears much easier to clean the brake dust off the front wheels than the rear. Is there a different grade of pad used on the rear? -
