Passat 110tdi power loss 3 Apr 2004 (Forum)
I have had an intermittent power loss on my 97 Passat for over 18 months. The main agent changed the turbo boost pressure valve, no difference, later they replaced the MAF sensor, no difference. I was then told the turbo was faulty, a replacement would cost £1010 ! I then trawled the backroom -
Idle speed prob & Service light. Daewoo 29 Feb 2004 (Forum)
I took my 98 Daewoo Lanos 1.6 SX for an oil change a few days ago and noticed after that a problem with the idle speed, in that it is fine when I first start the car up but then revs high when idle (at 1 500 instead of 900/1000). Also from time to time in the last week or so the \'engine control -
Golf rattles 14 Dec 2003 (Forum)
which seems strange (if it was the bottom end), as i would have thought it would be more pronounced when warm (thin oil). I'm thinking of taking the sump off if it's accessable and seeing if there is a big end with more movement than the others. Am i barking up the wrong tree, if not is there any -
Vxl Omega 3 litre probs 26 Feb 2003 (Forum)
plugs, and bought a new set. I was amazed to find the plugs sitting in an inch of oil, so off to the garage it went for a new head gasket. Garage repaired the head gasket, but the car still ran quite rough, and wouldnt pull up hills. So they changed the HT leads, it ran a bit better but is still crap -
Ford Focus ECU Problem? 19 Oct 2002 (Forum)
, the engine was at idle and I evidently wasn't going at 140mph). After a few more seconds they returned to correct readings. 2. Coming back from work this evening, I turned into my drive in 2nd gear as usual, and it became very jerky - almost kangarooing up the drive. I changed into first gear -
Honda Accord 2002 - Car failed MOT, need advice (do I keep repairing?) 30 Aug 2020 (Forum)
have been doing the oil-changes myself and fixed anything that'd go wrong. (all because as I say, I live in a rural area, have to street park it, often under trees, and it can and has been hit / scratched / dented by something, a tractor or van I suspect)..... So..... about 4 years ago -
Honda CR-V - Flat spots on rear tyre and judder while driving 4 Mar 2014 (Forum)
that type of feeling. I'm concerned that because the rear diff oil has never been changed while we've had it and I doubt it was changed when the car was bought in to the family, whether the diff has been extremely damaged by it. Has anyone experienced this issue before? I am getting the car done -
Passat 2009 CR Bluemotion2 - Aux belt-->Cambelt--> Rocker-->Camshaft failure 26 Apr 2015 (Forum)
. Q is it usual for main dealerships not to change the alternator belt at the same time as the Cambelt? I'm particularly disappointed as I saved up to buy the CR model that I knew would not then suffer from the expensive 'rounding off of the oil pump drive spindle' problem on previous -
Vauxhall Vectra B (1995 - 1999) - 97 1.8 petrol (?) Stalling engine & ign. light. 17 Jun 2008 (Forum)
I have a vectra which is a p reg so I have assumed it is the above. I've not had it long but a friend helped me to find it and has serviced it just after i got it with all the usual stuff being checked or changed. I know that the radiator has been changed, oil, brakes and discs and lots -
DPF Q&A -- sheds some light 1 Aug 2009 (Forum)
amount is injected into the engine oil which reduces the oil life. If the "INSP" light in the instrument cluster comes on, the engine oil is exhausted and must be changed. Failure to do so could damage the engine. -
Citroen Relay II, 2002-2006 (registered 2007) - Burning smell (clutch?), slow air suspension, etc 4 Sep 2023 (Forum)
much would it cost to fix that? When starting from a standstill, especially on a hill, or changing down a gear as the incline increases, there is a smell like burning plastic. The oil is fine, so I assume this is a clutch issue - though the clutch doesn't slip or show other signs -
Great Daihatsu main dealer service 17 Jun 2009 (Forum)
a refreshing experience after having read so much about peoples negative experiences of the rip-off merchant main dealers. As such, Im now willing to pay that bit more and have them do the oil/fliter and its first gearbox oil change due in July as I feel I will be looked after - I could walk away and not use -

Peugeot 106 1997 1.1 - MOT - CO 2nd fast idle, & idle speed too high 21 May 2014 (Forum)
do a service, ie change the oil and the oil filter and put some REDEX in.... would this make any difference to my co and idle problem? I have invested £15 in CataClean, out of desperation, and will try that tomorrow. (I am adding it to 15 litres of petrol, as per instructions -

Nissan Micra K11 auto CVT (1995) - CVT auto gearbox Issue – No drive or gears 19 Jun 2021 (Forum)
that small jolt, feel of engagement), just nothing happens. The CVT light is not on. The gearbox done 130,000, but had regular oil changes. Any ideas what this could be? I was wondering, if I placed it in P mode, whilst wheels were not stationery, has possibly screwed it up? -

Hi, After the replacement of the mass airflow sensor the turbo started to leak oil into the exhaust. So the turbo was replaced too and the garage asked me to let the new turbo bed in and not drive in a way to use the turbo for a 50 miles or so. I also used feul cleaner to allow -

Ford Focus - Is the garage lying to me? 22 Mar 2013 (Forum)
