Hi, My Clio engine is playing up. It is misfiring on cylinder 1. My local garage has checked leads, replaced spark plugs, swapped coils 1 & 3 for 2 & 4. Then checked for compression, checked injectors for fuel and finally removed head, where a fault in inlet manifold gasket was found. Reassembled -
Ford Focus problems. 30 May 2007 (Forum)
Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could have a bit of advice. I have a 52 reg Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi Ghia and recently it has cut out twice due to it over heating. I put some water in the water bottle leading to the radiator and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now for some reason the water bottle -

handle, with the lead and hose stowed within the case. The name on it was " Boxy " and it was produced in Italy. The Ebay seller stated that these were available from B&Q under a different name but my local B&Q deny any knowledge. Any hints or pointers much appreciated. Thank you. -
Nissan Sunny loss of power 23 Oct 2006 (Forum)
I've got a 1400cc Nissan Sunny (1990 model with 12v carb engine) which has been running poorly for a while. The engine began misfiring, so I changed the distributor cap & rotor arm, and checked the leads (which are fairly new anyway). The misfiring problem seems a bit better now, but the engine -

Carlton gearbox noise 7 Apr 2006 (Forum)
(grabs tree), and is silent in drive or through the gears. I am happy to live with it so long as it doesn't lead to something sinister. With the car on 115,000 I was hoping for quite a few more miles from it given their high mileage reputation. Thanks in advance. -

Motorists paranoid? 14 Apr 2005 (Forum)
drivers in the UK had run out of time and, to cap it all, a leading car magazine has demonstrated how drivers of foreign registered vehicles are effectively above the law in many respects, there being virtually no enforcement action pursued by the authorities here. Easier money to be made here I suppose -
Police Motorcyclists 11 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Before I hijack this site tonight, has anybody thought about being a Police Motorcyclist or wondered what it took? Had a "Ride To Arrive" check ride today 1 PC Motorcyclist to 2 riders and it certainly improved my knowledge. In the saddle for 3 1/2 hours with alternate stints leading -

Renault Modus Chute Boot 7 Oct 2004 (Forum)
attention putting boots and minis in same sentence!) This way, instead of opening the full boot, you can just simply open this small hatch, throw something in and close again. Even better than renault's split tailgate in my opinion! Are Renault leading the field with this or are they copying someone else? -
Escort 1.3 carb 1991 91AB 5 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Hi, I wish to check/set the idle/mixture on the Escort and bought a Digital Engine Analyzer to monitor the rpm. Looking at the instructions it seems this can only be used on "conventional engines" as one lead connects to the battery neg and the other to the coil neg. How can I use this, if at all -

Mondeo brake drums 4 Apr 2004 (Forum)
, nor is there any suggestion as to whether one should try to turn it to slacken the adjuster. I'm sure all will become clear when I get a drum off, but at present the only apparent solution involves the lead mallet, which I am reluctant to use. The handbrake is off, have I missed something? Thanks -
Mondeo Zetec / Alloy Wheels 16 Jan 2004 (Forum)
, there all like that if they have got alloys,"you need the metal valves replced with rubber." The reason being that the original ones start to rust which leads the air to escape. The car in question is a mk2 1999 year. The cost to do the job £24.
