  Can anyone make one please? My friends lad is nearly 18 and has an old Golf that he wants to run valued at £700. The quotes for TPF&T have come back at twice the value of the car! Can anyone recommend a good insurance company contact for young drivers please?

  Have just bought myself a Mondeo TDCI 130LX Estate (53 plate). I pick it up on Friday. When i had the old shape Mondeo, I found out long after puchasing it that I should have had a Red master key. Should I be looking for something similar with this car.

  I was talking to a taxi driver today who I hired . He has a "K" plate Carlton 2.0i manual gearbox . He was saying that its the cars last week as a taxi as it is now to old , still on the same engine and gearbox etc.........just had one clutch...... oh the mileage ................502,000 miles

  Hi Car is 5yrs old (55k miles) and is (over)due a major service involving cambelt change and I was wondering how long shock absorbers last/how often should they be replaced? Also - main dealer (Mitsubishi) is v. expensive for the service - any recommendations for e.g. Halfords for servicing

  Anyone know what causes front discs to rust? Just had to change my Peugeot 205 XLD front discs after an MOT failure due to rust. They were only two years old and I have done 15,000 miles on them. Perhaps I don't use the car enough or brake hard enough? Thanks.

  The starter motor turns the engine, but no firing occurs. When jump leads where attached it turned slightly better and with a bit of gas sounded like it was juuust about to kick into life but never did. Is this a common problem with my 7 year old car with an easy solution? Simon
