V40 D2 Cross Country SE

Refined and relaxing

Really enjoying ownership of the V40, the whole ambience, build and drive reminds me of my old Audis (before they went all gangsta and 22" sport rims with blacked out windows).

Even for a smaller car, it feels solid and plush. The Cross Country ride is brilliant on the pot hole ridden tracks that pass for roads in our area. Road noise and cabin creaks are minimal, the car seems really well screwed together.

Equipment is good, folding heated mirrors, seats with loads of adjustments on both driver and passenger sides, nice stereo sound quality with DAB, auto lights and wipers, all make for a good package.

Mine comes with the optional body kit that looks very smart, without being too 'bling'. The only real minuses are that it's perhaps a little short on rear space and some say the interior is a little dated (though I personally don't mind it).

All in all a great, refined, well equipped and handsome looking car. I'm very happy with it.
