Very rapid relaxing car

This is our second EV.
My wife has a Cupra Born. Weve enjoyed the Born so much that I bought myself an EC40!

The cars are very different. The Born is a little more hot hatch where the EC40 is a rapid cruiser.

The car is very quick but unlike the previous hot hatches Ive owned that can do sub 5 seconds 0-60, the EC40 does it with zero drama at all.

Its super refined, well built and has just the right balance between state of the art technology and everyday usability..

Economy isnt as good as the Born, but that was expected as this car has nearly twice the power.

Handling is a weak point…the soft, wallowy ride is lovely, but also means body lean and understeer in corners. - However, I knew this when buying so there was no surprise..

The jury is out on the lack of a rear wiper…..its summer now so it isnt an issue but maybe it will be once the weather turns.

All in all, its early days but we are very impressed with the quality of the car. Its my 3rd Volvo on the spin….I bought an S60 on a whim a few years ago and the brand has hooked me in…I love the design, build and general solidity of their cars. Heres hoping this one continues the trend.
