Top notch small SUV

I bought this car in 2008 and have now done over 48k miles, so I feel well qualified to comment. It has been solid and reliable, my only problem being a faulty engine management sensor. It averaged 48mpg whilst I was working, doing longer journeyss, now down to 42mpg with more urban work. A pleasure to drive and own. The niggles are the "sudden" and heavy clutch, especially when engaging 1st, low 6th gear ratio, small mirrors. Can't believe the guy who had a catalogue of trim faults, mine has no problems whatsoever, despite doing a quota of farm tracks etc. Was pretty handy in the heavy snow we had last winter. I don't think I will be tempted away until I've had a look at the Audi Q3. By the way, previous cars include Audi A4 & A6 Avants and a Disco, did 80k miles in each.
