Overall reliability
A good all rounder, I like the diesel torque and mpg, but not as much fun as my Mk1 Focus.
Quality product, even in base model. Pulls well, if not quickly.
Roomy enough for 5, or a couple of bicycles [inside with the rear seats down]
Engine weight makes it understeer through fast bends.
Minor faults could be expensive, but websites enable savings. Parts not cheap.
I bought it 4 years old with 90,000 miles on the clock.
brake discs seem a little frail/thin.
Generally sound.
I find the diesel [and age] have softened my driving style, and the mpg has crept up from just over 50 average to around 54. This is based on continuous logging of fuel fills.
