Overall reliability

Very cheap to run but have had lots of problems

The new yaris holds the road better than the old one however the build quality is not the same. Rattles in the plastics, lumpy engine noise (compared to old yaris d4d), difficulty finding reverse 1st and 2nd gear. The car had faulty ABS sensor which had to be replaced Toyota paid for half of the cost outside warranty. Carbon built up in the throttle body and caused oil to blow out of pipe connecting throttle body to intercooler this had to cleaned and engine management software updated, when I took it too toyota dealer £180 very steep. My car started making knocking noise from engine when starting from cold took it too the dealer and he said there was no problem just due to cold belts. ( I find that hard to believe) so fingers crossed it is nothing serious. Overall I really liked this car as it was a very good city car and very capable on motorway. But the whole reasonI buy Toyota is reliability and between recalls and faults 6 months hasn't gone by without me visiting Toyota. The dealer is great but I don't want to have to go there every few months.
