2.5 VVT-i Hybrid Design CVT 2WD 4dr

Big, very economical, easy to drive, comfortable. Not for the"boy-racer".

Very comfortable. Surprisingly economical for its size. Easy to get 600 miles from a tankful (about 54 litres). Spacious - good space in rear, and v large boot for a hybrid.
Another review complained about noise. Driving is very quiet around town. Almost no engine noise and transition from electric propulsion to petrol usually not noticeable. At speed, road noise critically dependent on the road surface. Most roads are OK, but a few are very noisy. Have not driven long enough to judge effect of different tyres on road noise, but some road surfaces MUCH noiser than others. Engine and wind noise no worse than other similar saloons. Overall, it's a relaxing drive. Definitely not a car for the pushy boy-racer type (who is very unlikely to look at this car in the first place). Others have also commented on the infotainment system. Although sound quality not as high as the system in previous car (a Lexus), it is perfectly good for a car given the inevitable compromises in any car. Sat-nav has not been used to direct the driving route, only for maps, where the fussy touch-screen system to change the scale is quite (very) irritating. I have the earlier smaller screen display but much prefer it to the new models with their larger screen, which I find too distracting while driving. Playing music from USB sticks very handy, and makes up for the single CD slot with no multi-play feature. Don't play music from my phone so that's not an issue for me.
