Avensis 2.2 T3X Hatchback

Roomy and reliable mile-muncher.

Bought one in 2006 with 15k on the clock and 1 year old. Very roomy and reasonably equipped with good economy allied with a decent-sized fuel tank.
Parts for servicing were cheap and easy to do yourself and nothing really went wrong with it apart from an injector seal in 2009 which cost £600 due to the work involved.
I have replaced this car with the TR version on an 08-plate a few months ago due to the 05-plate being written off in an accident. Managed to get the mileage up to 108k and would have kept it and not replaced it until swmbo started suggesting something else that isn't a taxi.
Would suggest this car to anyone who wants a cheap car that is well equipped (TR) with trivial running costs..The engine is chain-cam (2.2) so no huge service bills.
