Suzuki Swift (2017 on)
1.0 Sz-T Boosterjet 5dr
a pleasure to drive and own with easy 60+mpg
I bought this new for approx £13000 in July 2017, blue with a silver roof.
I've had very few problems with it, just a couple of manufacturer recalls to fix a rear door handle and service light. I've now covered 40,000miles. The original tyres still have 4mm+ tread on the front and 5mm on the back.
Servicing at Suzuki main dealers has been very reasonable.
The car is very lightweight and has a delightful 1.0 turbo engine. So it's easily quick enough and returns 60+ mpg.
It's a very comfy long distance car for front seat occupants. I do find the suspension a bit hard though.
The boot is a good useable size and the rear seats flop down very easily if extra space is needed.
I like that it has a proper handbrake and knobs for the heater/aircon controls. The touchscreen satNav radio is just okay but the standard speakers are excellent.
I don't like the squishy built in rear seat headrests, they are small and flimsy.
Would I buy another? well, I think they have dropped the turbo engine and the new prices have jumped massively. So I wouldn't buy new. I'd look for a nearly new with the 1.0 turbo engine. It really is that good.
