Overall reliability
delightful to own - lightweight, economical, fast and fun
after many years with Toyota cars I opted for a new shape Swift mainly because it looked so much better than the Yaris and had the 1.0 turbo engine.
i've enjoyed the Swift so far. I bought some 15 inch steel wheels and 65 profile all season tyres which have transformed the ride and comfort for the better. The front seats are extremely comfortable.
i've had no reliability issues and servicing was surprisingly cheap and the dealer very pleasant.
My brim to brim mpg over 15000 miles has been 63.6 over motorway 50%, fast A roads 25% and city 25%.
If they did the Swift allgrip with the 1.0 turbo engine I would buy one, but for now I envisage keeping this car for many years.
