I love the Mini style curved, upright windscreen which gives the car great visibility and a superb driving position, in contrast to the claustrophobia-inducing, sharply slanting windscreens you find today.

The punchy direct injection, Intercooled, turbo 3 pot is an absolute gem with linear power delivery, very good refinement and a rather charismatic engine note.

The Aisin (Toyota owned transmission supplier) made 6-speed auto is near faultless and should be trouble-free and more durable than a cvt . Even its turbo is made by IHI which supplies turbochargers to Ferrari. Cheap but inoffensive plastics aside , Suzuki has got the priorities right by choosing first-class mechanicals and the car feels like it would be reliable in the long run. Suzuki also was placed first on 2018 What Car ? reliability survey, which is no mean feat.

Handling is extremely surefooted and responsive. The ride is excellent on the highway, but a bit firm on really rough surfaces. Reducing the air pressure to 32 psi helps in this regard.

Fuel efficiency is great at around 50MPG avg.

Reliability is excellent so far and in summary, I have never regretted buying it because it brings me so much joy both in terms of its styling and driving enjoyment. I only buy Japanese cars and this car is way better than similar offerings from Toyota,Honda and Mazda.
