Skoda Superb Estate (2010 - 2015)
Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 170 DSG Auto 5dr Estate
Simply brilliant
This is probably the best car I have ever owned. I have done nearly 90 miles in the 6 years I have had it and apart from the Columbus satnav, which decided it was German two years ago, it’s been trouble free. I managed to get a replacement Columbus from Motormods for £650, as opposed to the £2000 l was quoted by the Skoda dealer, but to be fair it was the dealer who recommended them.
Room inside the Superb is massive and the boot space is cavernous. I have averaged 43 mpg over the 6 years and it would have been higher without the VAG software correction I had done last year, Since then I reckon I’m getting about 5mpg less on a run.
This was my first Skoda car and I’m about to get a Karok, as I really don’t need such a big car now, but want to stay with Skoda. My previous 3 cars were Mercedes C class and the last was a C230 estate, bought new, which was a nightmare. It developed numerous faults and was costing me a fortune in repair bills. My service bills for the Superb were a third of what I had been paying. I have recommended the Superb to several friends and others who have various Skoda models all say how reliable they are. They may not have the glamour of prestige German cars, but they represent much better value.
