Skoda Superb Estate (2010 - 2015)
Elegance 2.0 TDI CR DSG 5dr Estate
Its as good as all the reviews say....until things start to break
I love this car. Its probably unbeatable for space, equipment and comfort with this spec. I could spend up to six hours a day driving and am never tired getting out of it.My children love all the toys like the voice activated sat nav. While not cheap to run due to high CO2 levels and 45mpg average, other things more than make up for this such as the size of the panoramic roof. What it is not however, is reliable. Within the first year items like a wheel bearing, the air blower failed and the paint came off both badges. The second year, the EGR valve went during a trip to France among other items that year. Third year, with the car out of warranty, the air blower went again, the windscreen wiper motor and drivers side electric window motor failed. Skoda have contributed to some of the cost of repairing these items. The latest issue is paint start to peel off the car in 4 spots. A dealer refused to submit a warranty claim saying this was due to stone chips. Now I've owned lots of cars and have never seen this before. Par for the course is I am waiting almost 3 weeks to hear from Skoda on this. The dealers vary from dedicated to threatening me with libel??The car has 115k miles and is minded like a baby. A very mixed bag.
