SEAT Leon (2013 - 2020)
1.2 TSI 110 SE Technology Pack DSG 5dr Hatchback
6 months on, totally smitten. Performance/price/features, all solid.
We were in need of a second car, which would be more of a runabout. We were considering a Polo/Fabia, but with decent spec.
A small petrol turbo was a must because it's just short trips for the most part and low mileage per year.
Whilst browsing around, for the same money as a good-spec 1 year old Polo I happened to find a 1 year old Leon 1.2TSI DSG with only 8k miles with pretty much every extra on it including navi/LED headlights etc. for a very good price, including a warranty until end of 2019 - from a main SEAT dealer.
The car has not disappointed - beautifully quiet and smooth to drive, decent economy (after about 4k miles of driving, we're averaging 42mpg), plenty roomy inside and very comfortable. Even my father, who drives a (last-gen) BMW 5 series, commented on how hushed and nice it was to drive in.
For the price, I think they're quite unbeatable especially if you get a good deal.
