Dependable & Economical company car

I have just returned this car after 4 years & 68,000 miles of completely trouble free motoring. The only issue with the car came on delivery as diesel fumes came into the cabin when at a standstill. This was diagnosed as an ill fitting gasket on the exhaust manifold. There have been no problems since then (not even with the DPF or DSG gearbox which have given me no issues).

The 1.6 TDi engine is a little noisy but is very flexible. The DSG gearbox is very smooth with quick shifts but there can be a small delay while the clutch engages. When pulling into fast moving traffic, this can be a bit disconcerting. It is however a very able motorway cruiser. Handling is OK but the heavy diesel engine does dampen its ability causing it to under steer a little more than a petrol.

The interior was durable. It doesn't match the quality of the Golf or Octavia but its on par with a Ford or Vauxhall. There is plenty of space for a family of four and weekend luggage.
