Renault Clio (2013 - 2019)
0.9Tce Dynamiqur media - Nav 5dr hatchback
Unreliable but good looking car
Although the car looks great, which some nice colour choices, the electrics and reliability of this car is an issue. My car has been back to the dealer more than 10 times for various problems. The horn broke and took over a week to fix. The switch for full beam broke and had to be replaced. The wipers kept going after locking the car so had the switch replaced on side of steering wheel. Window made a noise having a part replaced. Power steering fault causing a major repair to the steering rack. Car sometimes doesn't lock/ unlocks in cold weather. In addition there has been 2 safety recalls to the brakes in the short time I've owned it.
In the times the car had been back to the dealer I have used the pick up service where the car came back with a coke bottle in the footwell and the second time my headlights were left on! Although the car did get washed and cleaned.
Car has a decent sized boot, and a full spare wheel, cheap tax and running costs. Car is nice to drive although noisy on the motorway in comparison to competitor models. Headroom in back is limited and media system had an issue with music playback causing a jumping/ skipping to occur frequently which is annoying.
Due to the problems experienced with this car I would not be tempted to buy another Renault and would not recommend
