Range Rover Evoque (2019 on)
2.0 D180 SE Auto AWD 5dr
Great package
I owned the previous model for 7 years and drove it on three European trips with no bother. It was ideal as a “grand tourer” despite its 4x4 pedigree. The old car was a manual but the new version is only available as an auto as a 180. I chose the SE spec because if you are going to spend this kind of money you need the dual touch screens and the 20” wheels suit the car best.
The car is much better than the old one with a more relaxed ride, the old model was a bit “jiggery” on poor roads, this is much improved. As before the car is a pleasure to be in and after 3000 miles is returning an average 42 mpg which for a 2 ton 4x4 auto is very good.
I bought it online from a leasing company so cannot comment on dealerships nor on maintenance costs at this point of ownership but I expect it to be similar to the old model
Why buy German?
