Porsche Cayenne Coupe (2019 on)

Bought the above to replace a 71 plate 3.0 V6 Cayenne SUV from my local dealership. First thing to say is I couldn’t justify the V8, but this new 353ps is a lot more torquey than the 71 plate engine in my previous Cayenne so I am more than happy with the performance. On a run it will easily break through 31MPG around town it does suffer and it will be around 24MPG. Both cars were fitted with the air suspension but this model along with the increased aspect ratio of the tyres makes the ride very smooth, in fact Sport mode in my new Coupe is in my opinion equivalent to Normal mode in the 71 plate version (both are running on 22” wheels). I was concerned about the lack of rear wiper on the Coupe but apart from using a squeegee in the winter to remove the condensation on the back window in the mornings (car left on drive) not had a problem with lack of visibility even in torrential Motorway driving. Boot space is reduced but the only time you would notice is when you are carrying boxy items, recently transported four fence panels 6’ x 3’ with no problem for my daughter as they wouldn’t fit into her ISUZU double cab. I do accept that the Porsche options list can get frighteningly expensive & silly & yes I have got lots of toys. Running costs will depend on how you drive, currently done 6k miles tyres (Continental) still look unworn (previous 71 plate had 28k miles on it & I replaced fronts at 21k, rears still had 4mm, oil level on 75%. Interior is totally different to previous model, I was told that this E3.2 version is running the interior architecture for the all electric Cayenne very much like the Taycan. It took me a while to get used to it but after a few weeks it all makes sense and gives a very comfortable drive. I like the idea of moving the gear selector onto the dash as it allows for more space on the centre console
To sum up a great car & a stunning Grand Tourer.
