I bought the car in January 2017, when my previous car a 2.0 FIAT Bravo 165 TDI Sport became uneconomical to spend further money on after covering 165k miles from new...
I've never owed a Peugeot before, but I loved the way the new 308 looked and after taking one for a test drive I was hooked, the car was 6 months old with 3.5k miles on the clock and was immaculate, I have a 90 mile commute to work most days with 2/3rds of the journey being motorway, so I needed a car that could handle the mileage but economical and the 308 is everything I'd hoped it would be, its now covered 35k miles and just had its 2 Year Service and not missed a beat.
I would recommend the 308 to anyone, its a great mix of practicality, economy, comfort, refinement yet if you want to have some fun it will really pick up its skirt and go...
I plan keeping it for 5 plus years so time will be the ultimate judge, but so far I could not be happier, it puts a smile on my face every morning I get into it, the cockpit might not suit everyone, but I love the uncluttered, modern look, even the dials working opposite to normal is cool..
My only complaint is the alloy gear knob, it gets freezing cold in winter and red hot in summer, but that's about it...
