Interesting...

Needed a new starter motor for my Renault Laguna and wasn't going to pay the local NZ distributors the ridiculous amount of money for a new starter motor locally so paid for one on ebay UK....no problem except was listed at 6 weeks delivery so decided to just buy a cheap easy to sell car...so 1 x Nissan March ( Micra K12 ) 1230 cc Auto so I was again able to get to work...except that when I picked up the car I was so gobsmacked by the beautiful stunning blonde bombshell Ukrainian 23 year old and I didn't check anything. Just stunned and afraid to look at her too much and be accused of staring ...10 KMs later I realized the motor was stuffed....blown head gasket.so was overheating...seemed to go OK thou....tried to install new gasket but just blew again. Installed good used 1.4 motor and was rewarded with better power going up hills...just that little bit of extra torque that made driving it so much nicer. Fuel economy thou has been disappointing for a small car with about 26 mpg around town on both 1.2 and 1.4 motors and 37 - 38 on a quiet out of town trip. I can get this from my 3.0 litre Renault laguna...All accurately measured brimming the slightly too small petrol tank. Nice to drive around town and is a very practical car. Pity it doesn't really deliver savings in fuel economy. Nice design thou. Handles OK but nothing amazing....just a nice town car. Good ride quality for its size. Friends earlier K11 handles better but is small inside by comparism.
