A fine ride
After owning this car for 2 months I have come to the conclusion that it has two distinct characters. In everyday driving the diesel engine combined with the auto gearbox offer laid back cruising with the top up or down. It is a real pleasure to drive on a warm day with the top down and take one's time. However press the sport button on the gearbox and this car changes character completely. It is amazingly quick and provides the reassuring handling to support its nature.
As my first Mercedes I have been impressed by the quality and build of the car, as well as the dealer network. If you are considering an SLK, my experience is that you are making a wise decision.
